Of the many venues in San Diego, The Lane is one that boasts coastal views out its windows. For Tori and Tyler, choosing a venue that was was a blank slate for their colorful designs was imperative. The Lane venue shone with bright florals and a summery color palette. Tori and Tyler encouraged guests to follow the same palette when dressing for the wedding. They said their “I dos” on the patio, palm trees in the background. That evening, guests were treated to a view of sunset over the sailboat-filled harbor.
To begin, the wedding day started off with getting ready at a private residence. First, we took fun pool photos with the groomsmen. Then, we arranged and photographed the flatlay details. Finally, Tori wrapped up with “final touches” for hair and makeup and we were off.

A cliffside first look? Yes, please. Traditionally, the groom sees his bride for the first time as she walks down the aisle. But in today’s wedding scene, nearly all of our couples opt for a “first look” moment before, both to calm nerves and share a more private moment before the larger festivities begin. Tori and Tyler chose to do the same. After seeing her, Tyler and Tori joined the bridal party for group photos.

Tori and Tyler met through mutual friends while attending art school in San Diego. Naturally, their wedding was beautifully designed with so many personal touches. Handwritten letters accompanied the seating chart for each and every guest. An assortment of notes written by members of the bridal party were found on the cocktail napkins. Their two close friends officiated, reading from The Wedding Poem by Whitney Hanson. Tori’s own graphic designs were incorporated into the invitation suite and wedding signage. No detail was generic, no guest went unnoticed.

Dreaming of photos like this for your wedding at The Lane? Let’s work together!
