Our clients Janette and Jony chose the classy Syracuse Marriott Downtown as their wedding venue. As a wedding photographer and videographer team, we’ve had the opportunity to photograph many beautiful weddings at a variety of venues. But this wedding at the Syracuse New York Marriott Downtown was truly something special. Even in the beginning, Janette knew she wanted a classic, timeless wedding. From the stunning hotel venue to the joyous church ceremony, it was a truly unforgettable wedding day.

Getting Ready and Details at Marriott Syracuse Downtown

Both Jony and Janette got ready in the hotel, on separate floors. The Syracuse Marriott Downtown grand ballroom was the perfect place for Janette and Jony to meet up for their first touch and gift exchange. Every time our clients take time to slow down the fast-paced moments of the wedding day, it’s absolute magic. The ceremony took place at the Park Central Presbyterian Church, which also offered jaw dropping details, from the church bell rung by the newlyweds after walking back down the aisle, to the stained glass windows. The aisles were lined with greenery and the bride’s white bouquet stood out against the dark church walls. Janette was stunning in her elegant gown from New York Bride & Co. and Jony was absolutely beaming when he saw her for the first time that day.

Park Central Presbyterian Church Ceremony

One of our favorite moments of the whole day was their exit from the church building. Guests popped confetti as the church bells rung out in the streets of Syracuse. J+J’s joy was radiant as they came down the stairs into the falling confetti. After the ceremony, the bridal party photos took place around the corner from their venue, which provided breathtaking views of the city. Then, we took some candids of the J+J and their bridal party as they walked around downtown.

Dinner and Reception at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown

The finale to this beautiful day was an equally beautiful reception. In addition, the in-house decor and catering at the Syracuse Marriott Downtown was phenomenal. At some point in the evening, every wedding guest made their way onto the dance floor to celebrate the newlyweds. Lastly, they ended the wedding day with a ribbon wand and confetti exit from the hotel.
